DAMNJAN – PAINTING

A comprehensive exhibition of Radomir Damnjanović Damnjan focuses on some newer topic and problem cycles. Damnjan’s works are simple yet complex, they challenge the viewer and provoke him. This Serbian artist stands for a modern and global art that is understood and accepted everywhere. Damnjan developed and realized his thorough artistic views and positions in two different cultural contexts. He believed that contemporary art and some of its expressive languages should be acceptable and understandable everywhere and in equal measure, that contemporary art is in its essence, global and international, with the obligation of each individual artist to aspire to the realization of his or her individual artistic physiognomy in precisely such conditions.
