Dragoljub Rasa Todosijevic was born in Belgrade in 1945. He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1969. together with Marina Abramovic, Era Milivojevic, Zoran Popovic, Nesa Paripovic, Gergely Urkom and others gathered at the Student Cultural Centre in Belgrade. He was one of the first artists who introduced the conceptual art in the former Yugoslav scene in seventies – a new artistic practices and new media. His most famous works – “What is art?” (“Was ist Kunst?”), “God Loves the Serbs” (“Gott liebt die Serben”) – and many others have provided him a worldwide reputation. Exhibited solo since 1969 and since 1970 has participated in numerous group exhibitions at home and abroad. His works are beeing held in the permanent exhibitions of many world museums. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia since 1971. He lives and works in Belgrade as a freelance artist.
