Dragoš Kalajić (Belgrade, 1943 – Belgrade, 2005)

Dragoš Kalajić was a Serbian painter, journalist, writer and philosopher.

He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. As a student he exhibited in Rome, Milan, Brussels and Belgrade. In Rome, he received an award for young artists in 1964. One of his noted exhibitions was Restoration of the painting, held at the Culture Center gallery in Belgrade. He exhibited at the Cvijeta Zuzorić Art Pavilion on the New figuration exhibition. Apart from painting, he wrote and published newspaper articles. As a journalist, he published many articles in magazines and newspapers, for years he was editor of the “Duga” magazine and Tanjug’s correspondent from Italy. He was the director of Progress gallery in Belgrade.

Dragoš Kalajić was a senator of the Republic of Serbian in the first election of the Senate in 1996.
