In the process of painting masks, Gordan Nikolic is moving from an objects, then gradually reduces images to the basic pictorial elements, depriving the details and forms through constant variation of a single motif on his canvases. This way he came to the edge of abstraction.

The exhibition in Arte Gallery attempts to present that path from objectivity to abstraction by slide show that goes on the LCD screens, while a large number of masks is displayed also in electronic form, in the digital photo frames. The selection of masks from different periods of the artist’s creativity will be set in the gallery. This form of electronic presentation is common for Arte Gallery because this way the most diverse and imaginative artworks could be adequately represented. These electronic devices that will be found within the setting will have another function – randomly placed small screens will also be at the service of creating unusual and specific atmosphere at Gordan Nikolic’s exhibition.
