Milan Konjovic (1898 – 1993) is one of the most important representatives of the Serbian interwar art and one of the most important representatives of colour expressionism in Serbian painting. He was born in Sombor, Serbia. He studied in Prague and Vienna. He lived in Paris from 1924 to 1932. With his opus of 6000 works he belongs to the top of Serbian fine arts, with recognition of his unique style of passionate colorist. Critics sometimes call him “the last Fauvists”.
